About · Dream Burst Curiosity
Kids ask better questions than adults answer.
365 Whys exists because of a gap. Kids ask spectacular questions. Why doesn't the Moon fall down? Why did T. rex have tiny arms? Could a volcano pop up in our backyard? And most of the time, the answer they get is "good question," followed by a shrug or a screen.
We think those questions deserve real answers. Not watered down, not wrapped in cartoon padding, not "you'll learn that when you're older." The actual answer, in words a 9-year-old can read and repeat at dinner.
The rules we write by
Real questions only. Every Why in every book is the kind kids genuinely ask. No filler questions invented to hit a page count.
Real answers only. Everything is fact-checked against real sources. When scientists honestly don't know something yet, the book says so. Kids can handle "nobody knows" far better than they can handle being lied to.
No talking down. The reading level is 4th to 6th grade, but the respect level is all ages. Kids detect fake enthusiasm instantly, so we skip it. When something is genuinely mind-blowing, the fact does the work.
Who makes this
365 Whys is published by Dream Burst Books under the Dream Burst Curiosity imprint. We're an independent publisher, which means the books get made by people who care about them, not by a committee optimizing a spreadsheet.
The series starts with Space and grows from there: Dinosaurs is in production, with Sharks, Your Gross Body, The Deep Sea, and more on the drawing board. Each topic gets the same promise. Big questions, real answers, 365 of them.
